The Chairman of Budo-eefo Community development Association, a community under Ilorin South, Doctor Adewale Oyeleke has called on state government and power company to come to the aid of the community by providing new transformers for the area.
Speaking with Royal Times correspondent, , the chairman explained that the community has been in darkness for a long period of time following the damage of only one transformer supplying the community.
According to him, the communities experiencing darkness are Atere, Onireke, Jatto , Ifedore and Budo eefo.
In another development, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Sulu Gambari has assured the management of Baboko Business Unit of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company of adequate support in the discharge of their duties.
The Emir gave the assurance during a courtesy call paid to his office by the management of the company.
The business manager of the company, Engr Kayode Moyosade who commended the emir for frequent remit of his bill, urged the emir to persuade the residents of the emirate and people within his unit to settle their payment as at when due.
