Wahl Clipper Corporation and Chinese authorities have raided the factory of Yongkang Wonderful Electrical Appliance Company, which specialises in producing fake clippers exported to Nigeria.
“The exercise which resulted to confiscation of 10,000 Nigeria bound fake clippers was conducted in conjunction with the Jinghua Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce, and officials of the Yongkang Public Security Bureau,” Wahl said in a statement.
It was discovered that the orders for the fake clippers came from a Nigerian sponsored firm named Blue Diamond.
“A fraudulent authorisation letter signed by a Festus U. Mbisiogu of Blue Diamond Freight LLC China (“Blue Diamond”), was among the documents seized during the raid.”
